Rheumatology Subdivision
Outpatient clinic services and clinical studies are provided for diagnosis and treatment of rheumatologic diseases. Joint inflammation (rheumatoid arthritis), spinal inflammation (ankylosing spondylitis), psoriasis arthritis (psoriatic arthritis), connective tissue disorders, systemic lupus erythematosus, antiphospholipid syndrome, scleroderma, inflammatory muscle disease (polymyositis / dermatomyositis), Sjögren's syndrome, vascular inflammation (vasculitis), Behcet's disease, familial Mediterranean fever, diseases such as osteoporosis and osteoarthritis are included in the disease groups evaluated in terms of diagnosis and treatment in our department.
In our department, outpatient services are provided in 4 examination rooms. After medical histories are taken and examinations are given by physician assistants and specialists, the patients are evaluated by academic staff as well, where necessary. Laboratory values of patients in respect to the diseases given above are also determined in framework of the same organization. Specialists and academic staff decide on the treatment plan for patients.

Therapeutic Practices
Musculoskeletal exercise programs are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours 10:00 to 12:00 under the supervision of the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation.
When necessary, an experienced team offers intraarticular or local injection therapies, subcutaneous and intravascular therapies and delivers trainings to patients.

Control appointments for patients who have already been receiving follow-up and treatment services in our unit can be booked to a further suitable date for those who personally apply to or call the line of Department Secretariat.
Department of Rheumatology carries out its activities on the 1st floor of Internal Diseases Building (former Morphology building) at the campus.
